My husband gotta get the butt camera

I returned from my 10 day trip to a filthy house that only a match could cure my house, the prince and droid acting like I was never gone a warm welcome from my caring family, and random piles of dog steamers my dogs were happy to see me. OH yeah and my van is totally FUBAR’d. When I did attempt to drive it, it felt like a wheel was falling off, thus causing me to drive under 10 mph for the 1/4 mile I drove before turning back. But as always I try to find the Peachy side of things, so here it goes.
My DH, the Droid goes in this morning  for a medical procedure that involves a camera and an orifice. Here’s your hint, it aint his mouth, ears, or nose. Yeah right, PHEW. Sucks to be you dude. The Prince goes in for his ultra sound/echo and ekg, to make sure his heart is all perfect just like he is.               ( amazing how being a preemie can affect you 9 years out huh?). My husband handled the finances while I was out of town which means we are broke like finish line tape at a marathon things might be a little tight this month. So you may be saying what’s the Peachy side of this?
The Peachy side is.
a) it is not me getting the camera shoved up my junk.
b) the procedure for the droid is just a check, there is no issue that I need to be all freaked out about.
c) the procedure with the prince is just a check, there is no issue that I need to be freaked out about.
d) we can take the droids car even though it’s ugly and small and all cramped up, this means we are lucky enough to have some form of transportation.
e) my daughter in college has finals all week, and it’s her not me.
f) we may be broke but are not in foreclosure like a huge number of people in this country.

this list could go on and on, there are a boatload of peachy things going on even if they aren’t totally visible to the average eye. So take a second to find a Peachy perspective about the suck worthy junk going on in your life, it makes it easier to get thru the day without breaking things and punching people.

The best job in the world..

My Family in 2001

It’s Mothers Day.  Time to appreciate all the mothers out there. I don’t think you have to give birth to be a mother.  We all know that Mom’s who adopt are just as much a mom as those who are bilogical moms, sometimes even more,  and there are Aunts out there that help spin this world around. So today we celebrate the mothering not just the Moms.

I have had a Mom all my life, and a Step mom for 35 years.  I have been a Mom for 21 wonderful years. Ok out of the 21 years of being a mom, not every day was wonderful.  I questioned myself and my sanity.  However I never questioned my love for my children.  From the very first second I became a mother my life was no longer about me.  So today instead of celebrating me,  I celebrate the people that helped me become a Mom, the children who make me, me.

My daughter Samantha when she was 6 years old.

My daughter Samantha when she was 6.

I tell my oldest, my daughter, that the day she was born my life was forever changed.  She has continued to be a beacon of joy and inspiration in my life every single day.  She is a  beautiful, strong, brilliant, amazing woman. Honest, reliable, with a will made of steal. Problem solving, never whining, laugh generating all around fantastic human. I am not only proud to be her mom, but also her friend. My wish for you my dear is to remember to enjoy this life. You have been a grown up since you were 2.  I love you.

this is Not Scott.

These are NOT for Scott. My daughter at College.

My Oldest Son Dusty when he was 8

My ol8dest son Dusty when he was

My  Oldest Son.  We don’t always see eye to eye, this is true.  I would battle any dragon if I thought I could help you.  But there are somethings I can not teach, and  these are the things in life you must experience yourself.  As you go out in this world I just hope that I have helped you build a good foundation to build the rest of your life on.  I love you.

Dustin

Dustin caught by surprise.

Alex and Mom being born is hard

After 58 days in the hospital he was born healthy

My Youngest Son.  You came to us as such a surprise. You have been loved  by so many. Your heart is as tender and giving as I have ever seen.  Your thoughtful and kind to everyone and even at your  young age you understand helping other and giving of yourself is sometimes hard but always right.  Your arms around me are like a hug from heaven, and your kisses are like bright rays of sun that warm my heart.  I hope you continue to give selflessly, to help others, to welcome everyone with your gorgeous smile.  I love you.

Before the kids I couldn’t imagine my life with kids, and now, I can’t imagine this being a life without them. They are my reason to get up in the morning, and my reason to draw every breath.  Live this life, don’t just exist in it.   So to my children. Happy Mothers Day, and Thank you. I love you.

Jello wrestling for a birthday present?

Posted on May 8, 2010 by ThePeachy1 in The Peachy Tree
girls wrestling in jello

So yeah today is my husbands birthday. I refer to him as the Droid around here, and in real life.  He is a techno ninja, science geek extraordinare ,  math matician that speaks in binary, the father of  my children and my bud.  So for his birthday I flew home.  Woo hoo. yeah right?   But he wanted this.

girls wrestling in jello

yeah jello wrestling I will get right on that dude

There’s a higher probability of   the following walking thru our front door to sing him happy birthday.

victoria secret super model angels

Happy birthday to you, Happy WTF. bang bang bang, reload, bang bang

Which would totally have made him happy also… but I would have had to reload the gun cause, “negative ghost rider the pattern is full”

But this is acceptable.

cute birthday cake

Let them eat cake, but not here.

But see, he didn’t even get that.  Does that make me a crappy wife? Does that mean I don’t love him. Does that mean I don’t want an extravagant mothers day and birthday?  HECK NO.  I am a greedy narcissistic needy attention ho.  Bad news for him. He married me.  So deal with it.

However I did let him take a 4 1/2 hour nap today.  Which has been his birthday request every year.  And I got him this.

dill pickles

yeah I know.. it's a friggin dill pickle.

If it makes a differance it was from the Beau Rivage Casino and he loves a good dill pickle and I just don’t keep them in the house, so I thought that was nice.

Before you go all hating me and stuff.   I need you to know, one year he took me here for our Anniversary.

Waffle house

this is where you take the drunk chick not the wife ..

So Happy Birthday Droid. I hope you liked your pickle.
